Irish Drone RegulationsIrish Drone Regulations require that a person obtains a permit if planning to use for business purposes.  Hobbyist must follow these general guidelines (see the Irish Civil Aviation site for more details):

  • Do not fly within 5 KM of an airport.
  • For drones weighing more than 7 kg, in addition to the airport rule above:
    • Cannot fly higher than 400 feet (120m)
    • Cannot fly within 2 km of an aircraft in flight
